Impact Wrenches

An impact wrench is an amazing time saving machine. If its strengths and weaknesses are taking into consideration it can be used for years of trouble free service.

Always use 90 PSI Maximum. Using higher air pressures can prematurely wear parts and strain parts not designed for the higher pressure.

In most instances, within the first five seconds of use, an impact wrench develops its maximum torque. If a fastener is still not moving try penetrating oil or a larger impact wrench. Always use impact sockets. Always oil your air tools before storing. Put a few spoonful’s of air tool oil in the air inlet and run the tool for a second or two to coat internal parts.

The beauty of the T-9825 is twofold. On one side the drive is 1/4" and 3/8" on the other. Just the remove drive and flip it around. Use Reverse by placing the retainer on the opposite side of the tool. The second part is that a set of 10 sockets is available that fits directly into the tool, leaving the center open so that a threaded rod or long bolt passes through.

Kit (T-9825K) contains 8, 10, 12, 13, & 14 mm sockets as well as 5/16", 3/8", 7/16", 1/2" and 9/16" along with the tool (T-9825).

Ratchet wrenches are exceptionally good at doing the job they are designed for - removing fasteners after they have first been loosened. It is important to keep the ratchet mechanism clean and free of sand and grit. Sand will wear out the ratchet mechanism and cause premature tool failure. Use an air blow gun to clean the head after extended use.
